A advertising and marketing Artilce for Your Viewing
Intelligent Marketing: Ways To Make Your Website Trustable

Summary:Want someone to purchase your terrific product or service? In addition to what you sell, make sure you offer them a trustable you too.

Have you ever visited a web site and been attacked by screaming pop-up ads, gotten lost in clutter and banner ads, have things flash and go boom? On the other hand, have you ever visited a site that was informative, easy to navigate and generally pleasant to peruse?

Which site gained more of your trust? Which site would you revisit? The more user friendly building tools you use on your site .... the more trust will be developed with your viewers. Following are some trust-building ideas to consider when developing your own website:

Purchase your own domain name - free of all advertisements (unless you sell, recommend, or are an affiliate of those products). You want to sell your visitors on the content of your site - not the products of other advertisers.
When searching for a host for your site, look for packages that include POP3 accounts (preferred) and alias accounts (second in line). This will enable you to send email from your site (you@yourbusiness.com) which looks much more professional than you@freeemailaccount.com It is easier to trust someone who has evidently made an investment in their business.
Provide a phone number, your hours of operation (including time zone), business mailing address and email address. PO Boxes are not considered addresses. Many companies won't deliver to PO Boxes, and many visitors won't purchase from you if you use one. Work from home? Add a suite or building number to your home/apartment. Or use a service such as Mailboxes Etc. for a real address.
Place at least one way for your visitor to contact you on each page and place your webmaster's contact information on at least the bottom of the front page. This way your visitors can request information from you......and if there is a problem with your site they can write to the webmaster. Even if you and the webmaster are the same person, place the webmaster's e-mail address on the site anyway.
Keep the content of your site current (no more than 6 months old) and include "Last Updated _________" on each page. Even if you don't change the site information (because it is completely correct and updated) do keep the date current.
Place your picture on your "About Me/Us" page. Do you have a staff? Place their pictures on the site too. Provide the name of the President or Executives on the contact page.
Secure your site for purchases.
Do you have an "ENTER" page? You will lose visitors who will go "find" some other site to visit that shows them information right away. Worse than an enter page is an enter page that forces someone to download a program (such as Flash). If you want to use the option of Flash pages, fancy pointers etc., give people the option of viewing them at their convenience.
Include tags with your images to assist the disabled and the hundreds of thousands of people all over the world who use library "text only" computer programs.
Insure that a majority of your pages load in less then 20 seconds at 56K. Many will not stick around much longer than that and will simply move on.
Ask your clients for testimonials and permission to use their whole name on your site.
Put your site though a spell check or a good proofreader

The Long Tail: Why the Future of Business is Selling Less of More

The Long Tail: Why the Future of Business is Selling Less of More
"The Long Tail" is a powerful new force in our economy: the rise of the niche. As the cost of reaching consumers drops dramatically, our markets are shifting from a one-size-fits-all model of mass appeal to one of unlimited variety for unique tastes. From supermarket shelves to advertising agencies, the ability to offer vast choice is changing everything, and causing us to rethink where our markets lie and how to get to them. Unlimited selection is revealing truths about what consumers want and how they want to get it, from DVDs at Netflix to songs on iTunes to advertising on Google. However, this is not just a virtue of online marketplaces; it is an example of an entirely new economic model for business, one that is just beginning to show its power. After a century of obsessing over the few products at the head of the demand curve, the new economics of distribution allow us to turn our focus to the many more products in the tail, which collectively can create a new market as big as the one we already know. The Long Tail is really about the economics of abundance. New efficiencies in distribution, manufacturing, and marketing are essentially resetting the definition of whats commercially viable across the board. If the 20th century was about hits, the 21st will be equally about niches.

Customer Review: Niches are the new growth

The Long Tail is an interesting theory, covering a new aspect of demand that is not shaped by the scarcity of a physical economy. According to the author the tail shape of the demand curve, in almost any industry, carries value as goods and services are not determined only by best sellers or hits. Flow from production to the end consumer is then unlimited and niches become revelant markets in a digital economy. However, the book devotes much of its chapters and examples to the entertainment industry. But fails to capitalize on how such theory would be applied to the economies of scale of actual manufacturers of physical goods. Economic theory of production also takes into account the scarcity of the resources -human and material- required to create physical products. It is however a best scenario presented about how the digital economy is shaping demand and people and companies taking advantage of it.

Customer Review: Just read the article on Wired.com magazine

Mr. Anderson's book is based on his article from wired magazine. The article says it all. You don't need to read the book. In fact the book didn't really need to be published. There is not enough material for a book. The concept is simple and you get the picture in the first chapter. The rest of the book is just filler so that it has more weight than a pamphlet and you will but it. There are some supporting facts, but mostly they are case examples that are too lengthy and off the main point.

The marketing concept is that when (as now) the cost of connecting consumers to vendors reaches zero vendors can offer limitless variety and there will (and is) demand for everything, mainstream and the unusual. We already know this from experience in today's world but might not have realized it. Anderson sums it up nicely in a matchbook cover. I'm glad that statistics have shown American's are not as culturally mainstream as I once thought. Its the medium of the marketplace that has been to blame and not our limited imaginations. Lets hope our "culture" is able to grow from our new ability to experience more than the mainstream.

Logitech NASCAR Racing Wheel with Vibration Feedback - USB ( 963339-0403 )

Logitech NASCAR Racing Wheel with Vibration Feedback - USB ( 963339-0403 )
With the Logitech NASCAR Racing Wheel, you'll experience the thrill of racing action, more fully than ever! Mount this wheel and its textured pedals to bring the race alive. It features 10 action buttons, two wheel-mounted paddles and an 8-way D-pad. You can even adjust the steering sensitivity for added realism.

Customer Review: I am confused ...

It seems it works under Control Panel - Games but I am unable to set it up to work with the Hot-Wheels-World-Race game.

I'd be appreciate if someone can show me how, thanks.

Customer Review: It's an OK product - depends on your expectations

I got this because I have GT Legends, a car racing PC-based simulator. The pedals are blow molded plastic and feel cheap, but if you handle them roughly, at least they can take it. This set feels toy-like, but gives you the necessities you need to steer what ever driving sim you might have.

It's a good starter wheel if you are unfamiliar with this product type, and the price was right. The vibration feature is a little chincy, but as I said, it depends on your expectations. All in all not bad, but I ended up upgrading to a force-feedback wheel within a couple of months.

Zu: Warriors From The Magic Mountain

Zu: Warriors From The Magic Mountain
Customer Review: corny and great all in one

I would say this film is about the corniest movie I have every seen, but I really like it. Take it for what it is-cheesy Kung-Fu with cheesy effects. Almost too much to bear, but it has good characters and a good enough plot. This movie is not for everyone.

Customer Review: Legendary adventure at it's finest!

An absolutely amazing movie!Fans of classical mythology as well as comic book readers should check this film out at once. An incredible plot charged with ancient conflicts between good and evil serves as the backdrop to some wonderful charachter (sic) development. Anyone who enjoyed "the bride with whie hair" or any other magical epic set in ancient china will indeed get a massive kick from this movie. Unfortunately, the breakneck pace of the amazing plot combined with only subtitles available to all us occidentals means that if you blink, you're lost. SEE IT!
